I know a few of you have posted about liking these expensive bits of fabric. STP has them in their newest catalog.
That brought me to wonder. How about posting a pic of your lucky hat?? I’ll post mine after I get to Idaho on Friday, it is currently packed and infusing the fishing gear with its mojo. Trust me…it’s worth the wait.
I wear a Tilley in the warm weather and a Filson with lining and ear flaps in the winter. Both are terrific and they keep the sun off of my ears and neck. I have to set an example for my kids, because my wife’s family has lots of skin cancer. We’re big on the sunscreen, too.
Anyway, here’s a picture of my Tilley. It is an LTM6, but I think there’s a couple of newer models with more mesh on them. My apologies for the lump under the brim. 
Mine, of course, would have to be the FAOL hats!! You expected anything less???
I do own, and wear regularly, a Tilley hat, too. Does keep the sun off. And you know they’re guaranteed … can even be ingested by an elephant, and eliminated, washed and used again!!! Good to know especially with all the elephants we have on our trout streams!:roll:
Here’s my new Tilley…also an LTM6 Airflo…I can’t believe how light it is…you don’t even know it’s on!..Not a good picture, but you can see the “shade” it provides.

Actually Bettty thats very nice to know if you head out to Africa to hunt for those monster salagorex reptus as I have been know to do on occasion.
