A month or so ago, someone on this board (I think) wrote a short book review about how much they enjoyed this book. I can’t remember the name of the book or the author. I remember reading @ amazon (when I had the book’s name) that it is a fiction book about international politics, terrorist, and fly fishing (I know, great combination)…I want to buy the book, but I cannot remember the name nor the author…Can any of you help???
It sounds like “Snowfly” except that there isn’t much terrorism. There is some war and other acts that are less than gentile, but I don’t recall any terrorism per se. I have read the book and I enjoyed it.
bspitt, I’ve read a few novels like that. Here’s one I read recently you might like. “Blood Atonement: A Dahlgren Wallace Mystery” by Jim Tenuto. Takes place in Southern Montana. The hero is a flyfishing guide on a large MT ranch. Check it out on Amazon. Jim
has written several fiction books, Snowfly was the first ‘hot’ one. There are several other reviews in the Book Review archive. He has also has written several ‘north woods cops’ books about the adventures of Michigan’s Conservation Officers and one on a Canadian diamond scheme. Not all are fly fishing related, but Snowfly sure is.
I know some of these have already been suggested but here are some that I’ve read that you might enjoy:
“The Snowfly” by Joseph Heywood “Bitch Creek” & “Gray Ghost”by William Tapply “Firehole River Murder” & "Old Faithful Murder" by Raymonf Kieft
“The Nail Knot”,“The Blood Knot” & “The Clinch Knot” by John Galligan
Any or all of the “Max Addams Fly Fishing Mysteries” series by David Leitz
Any of the “Loon Lake Fishing Mysteries” series by Victoria Houston

All of these are fly fishing related mysteries. Happy reading.
