I have a week off in February and really want to do a saltwater trip somewhere on the east coast…I’ll probably be driving down from Mass. to save money (getting married in May) and just not really sure where to head. Lousiana for Redfish…is that a good time of year? Florida for snook?

honestly, Zach, it’s going to be a matter of luck. people do go down to Florida and fish in Feb. sometimes they do well. sometimes the wind blows hard, it rains, and it’s not worth it at all. the fronts come through every few days, and the good weather comes and goes. it’s too iffy for us, and if you’re faced with a couple or three long hard days of driving…well, how’s your skiing?
