The Texas Fly Fishers of Houston (Texas) will be holding their Annual Fly Tyers Festival Saturday February 3rd, 2007, at the Bethany Christian Church on Westheimer from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. If you are interested in participating (half day or all day) in this event, let me know and I’ll get your name in the distribution. E-mail me your name, address and / or e-mail address as soon as possible. Currently, we have had 34 tyers that have indicated that they will be in attendence. There is no cost to tie, lunch will be provided and your name will be put in a drawing. We’re looking forward to another good event and I hope you will come and join us. Thanks, Chris
Update. As of this week, 64 tyers from 5 states have committed to the event. C. Boyd Pfieffer is our featured tyer, Ken Iwasama will be putting on a presentation about fishing in Mongolia, John Carpenter will be tying his lifelike patterns and a number of guides from the Texas & Louisiana Coast and Hill Country will be on hand to answer questions you may have. This year we have added a casting pond for those wanting to try out a new rod or to just find out if fly casting is the way to to…and it is.
I hope some of you can make it. Saturday, February 3. For more information, click on the attachment on the previous post.
