I have been having a blast fishing nymph patterns all summer and am planning on having a well stocked nyph box for next spring. So I am looking to you all to tie your favorites up and hopefully we all can get some inspiration to tie up some good looking nymps to restock our trout boxs for next spring.
I’m opening this swap for nymph pattens which are great for trout. Regional nymph patterns, local variations, patterns that you invented and wish to share. If its a nymph pattern used for trout lets see it.
The usuall swap rules apply:
toe tags with the hook size, fly name, and FAOL name, email, and anything else you wish to put on your tags
Box large enough for the flies you will recieve.
Please tie 12 flies for this swap so everyone recieves a full set. It makes it much easier for me to do the sorting if I have 12 flies from each tier as I sort as flies come in. Extras for the swapmiester are not required but appreciated.
Money to cover your return Shipping from Canada. Its been costing me $5 per set of swap flies to ship out swap flies and I can not use US stamps to mail from Canada.
Signup date Sept 30th, Flies due to me by October 30th (october 15th if you can swing it). Flies recieved after the due date will be returned to sender as it is not fair to others who have thier flies to me ontime. Shipping to Canada can sometimes take 2 weeks so try and mail all flies early to insure they arrive on time.
Please insure all customs declarations are filled out as no value gift and fishing flies so I do not have to pay duty on swap flies being sent to me

My flies are in the mail and on there way. I did include extra’s for the Swap Host. I also included some money for the return postage. Thanks for letting me join in on this one. Always nice to be in one of your swaps HMD. Thanks again. John
Also some news for you all, I maybe moving come the end of October due to a great new job opertunity. I haven’t gotten it yet but I have a great chance of getting it. If I get this one it means more fishing time, more tying time, more swaps and more money overall with less working hours. THis is the job that will be a career position for me, it’s with a great comany in a great town and I get to work with some old friends again if I get the job.
As a result I would like to try an wrap this one up by October 15th if you guys don’t have a problem with an earlier due date If everyone signed up could let me know if this is ok and any new signups plan on Oct 15 th for the date the flies are to be to me. This will allow for all flies to be shipped before my potential change of jobs and move. It’s not a longdistance move just 120KM further north.
I just joined FAOL, but have been tying and casting many years, Sure would like to join your swap if it ain’t full.
I’m new at this stuff, so tell me what you want and I’ll do it. I gotta look in my boxes, and choose a pattern. I’ll let you know on that. Looking forward to joining in…Modoc Dan
Sounds great, welcome aboard. JUst keep in mind shipping may take longer than expected so get your flies in the mail as soon as you can.

An update for everyone on the job, I have an Interview on Friday, so hopefully I get it like I said it’s a great carreer move for me and it has just fallen into my lap. I personally know 2 out of 4 of the full time Foresters in the office, who will be interviewing me, so I have a very good chance of getting it. I will probably not move before November or December But I would like to get this swap wrapped up early or on time. I’ll keep you all posted.
My flies will be in the mail by the end of this week. It will take them about 2 weeks to get to Canada, you should receive them before October 15 if everything goes like I planned.
