What a great place this is!
I have certainly become addicted to this place, as I’m sure have many others.
If I even visit another board, I dont like it, and it’s difficult to navigate.
FAOL is clearly the best and is the only forum I visit so frequently.
I don’t know where else I would squander away my time not fishing/school, If this site wasn’t running.
I also like the self-policing and caring of the members, The few times I have overstepped my boundaries I have quickly been set straight.
This site is AWESOME, and I’m sure many will agree.
Hats off to JC and LF for keeping this site up and running.

I would also like to extend the thanks to all of the contributors of all the articles like Rick Z. and Joe Hyde. Rick and Joe, I don’t think you have any idea how much your articles have helped people like myself.
Of course, everyone on the message boards are wonderful too.

There is a lot to be learned from this site…about fly fishing AND life. No matter what happens in your life, it seems someone from this site has been in that situation & is there for support. It is a wonderful community.

Amen to that. The people here are great and after meeting a fair number of them in person, it makes me feel good to have been around here a bit. This a great site with people who really care about others.
The help you can get here is fantastic. Speaking from personal experience, I have learned so much here that I dont know what I would do without it.
For a perfect example of this you can read the “Landing the Big One” thread in Sound Off. Not many other places could a guy get those types of responses and advice for free.
I agree completely. I just discovered the site a few days ago and asked a question I had about tying soft hackles. Within half an hour to an hour I had about a dozen responses from people helping me out. What a great community.
What is curious however is that " what knot do you use" posts get more responses than this warm and cuddly FAOL post has so far. You would think all those in agreement with the premise would be coming out of the woodwork to second the motion. And here, mine is only the NINTH reply and I DO agree this is a great site to visit with some great folks full of … help and good will. I am therefore bumping this up to fish for a few more replies. Come on, tell all how much you love FAOL!

This is the best fly fishing site I have found. Mainly becasue fo all the info and help that is offered by everone on here.
