Well I just got back from a fantastic time at my local lake!
The owner planted some trout the other day! however I have not been there in a while and I hit it just right today. I walked to one spot and saw fish rising, I stayed there the whole 2 1/2 hours I was there! I caught fish after fish on my 7’ 3 weight!
The smallest trout I caught was about 14" and the largest being just shy of 20". The 20"ers had my 3weight bent to the cork and peeling off drag! I estimated them at about 3 1/2-4lbs. (they were fat!)
One of the fish around 17" took me to the deep into the backing twice!! 
I was using my newer Okuma Sierra reel and I have no reservations about it anymore, The drag is nice and smooth and I didn’t have one complaint about it. Pretty darn good for a cheap reel! Held those trout on 7X-4X…
Fly goddess, I have been using the furled leaders you gave me and here is an update:
They are fantastic!
I was using them today and they held their own with the bigger flies and turned over the smaller streamers and nymphs like a feather!
They also held the bigger fish like a champ! I had some reservations about the strength of thread,But not anymore!!
