Fall

A long with the tempurature getting lower I noticed a few other things suggesting fall is upon us…

I don’t know what this next one has to do with fall but found it humorous…

The snow on the mountain outside of town, down almost to the valley, was a clue to me. Aspens are in full color here in Colorado, along with the oaks, and the brown trout should be running any day now…

I’m gonna find out if the Browns are running down in the East Portal tomorrow morning. I will be there at sunup. Should be a very pretty trip if nothing else.

Dub, no sign of any at PP yesterday, and few fish looking to feed on egg patterns. Good luck, tho. Might try the Unc on Sunday.

They were not on the Redds yet in the E. Portal.

I fished till lunch and called it a day…The wind got out of hand.

Pre-Dawn

Caught a few of these and some 10-12 inch Browns of SH’s

I wont be back there till next Spring. I like the higher flows in this section, but the scenery was gorgeous!

kerry thanks for the beautiful pics. that last one is just too much!

Kerry, the colors here on the dry side of Washington haven’t started in earnest yet. I’m just wondering; is your pup trying to catch snow flakes, or just trying to tell you something?

Kerry,

Should you trip over the Newfie in the dark, you’ll “Fall” on your face. There’s the connection. Great pics.

Great place to spend a couple days. There is snow on the peaks, and the fall colors at lower elevations are exquisite.

P.S. Very few hoppers around, but the fishies are still up on large dries.
