I just received one and haven’t formed strong opinions yet. My computer is in the shop or I would post some pictures. The thing I do like is that it has jaws similar to the old renzetti presentation 2000
Let me know if anyone has tried the F1 and what you think
Thanks
Sorry/. Tried to use a PC instead of my Mac…Photo somehow couldn’t be rotated…Long live Steve Jobs!!!
I had not heard of it, but like Ron I googled it and found the video, but after watching the video and looking at your picture it’s not the same vise. Is there someone selling it that you can give us a link to? how about a written review in a few weeks
Not the same vise as the video no, but a different model from the same company. A little digging and here’s what I found. It’s actually Sava (from the Sava River that runs through Slovenia-formerly Yugoslavia).
http://www.sava-ribiski-pribor.com/eng.html 143Euros ($200+ US) for one like Byron has, 330 Euros ($460+ US) for one like in the video. These are from the website. (Actual 'net prices my vary.)
The cool range of motion (as REE mentioned) not withstanding, the really interesting part is that when googling for this, the first 2 hits are the You-tube video and the 3rd is this thread on FAOL. And then nothing. What I find most interesting is that the video is 2 years old and until now no one on FAOL has mentioned this.
That is correct. He has 4 models, I think. I got the more traditional model as the pictures looked like the other models didn’t have enough room around the jaws.
Your picture looks fine. I just want to know how you manage to keep all your stuff from falling off that table???LOL!!! Maybe if I turn my laptop on its side … there, thats better!
Nice vise - what are you making with those blue microfibbets?
Same company. One on tube is their top of the line. Mine is their low end, but offers the same jaw. Aside from the considerable price difference, I thought the one on you tube didn’t allow much room around the jaw. Mine is a more traditional design
Like I posted below. Here’s the website for the Company http://www.sava-ribiski-pribor.com/eng.html 143Euros ($200+ US) for one like Byron has, 330 Euros ($460+ US) for one like in the video. These are from the website. (Actual 'net prices my vary.)
