Yesterday I went fishing with a Conehead combo that I tied for the Boa Yarn swap. It was Olive with Black fun fur. size 6, small conehead. I ended up catching a couple dozen crappe, all real nice. I even managed a few of the plate sizes ones. Eyelash Yarn makes for a terrific fly. I’ve used white and red, or black too. I’ve caught large mouth, smallmouth, perch, whiteperch, and drum using a variation of Pete Frailey’s FOTW tied with eyelash yarn.
hey Danny
Sounds like you had a blast of a time!
Not sure what fun fur is. Do you have any photos to share here on the forum?

Check out the pics on the Boa eyelash swap. Also fun fur is another form of boa yarn from the fly of the week. Dan
Here’s a picture of the fun fur…blue/purple…it actually glistens more than the picture shows…I really wonder if it WAS in the “eyelash” catagory…seems to me Boa Eyelash is in a category of it’s own…actually who cares…[G].
