Experimental Sparkle Caddis

Hi,

Messing around and trying to come up with a new caddis pattern for next summer. Sparkle (zelon) caddis.
Let me know if you think it will work and I will let you know in June/july.

Little different version:

Very interesting, will have to try that.

Similar to Kelly Galloup’s Butch Caddis, a fly that I’ve had some good times with:

Thanks. How incredible is that! I have never seen the “Butch Caddis” before in my life, but it sure is similar. How does that work? That’s not the first time either!!!
I guess that suggests that most flies developed and made famous by a particular tier might well have been developed by someone else anyway?

Byron,

Based on your body of work, I’d say it’s a case of “great minds think alike”. Keep your ideas coming, we all benefit.

Regards,
Scott

Very kind words Scott…

Also similar to Craig Mattews X-Caddis.

I thought of the X-caddis immediately. One of my favorites
