Or even hear of it? It looks pretty nice. While I’m not currently in the market, I’d be interested to hear feedback from any users. I’d suspect those jaws are good for a wider range than they advertise.
I don’t like the shine. I think glare would be a problem. Also, what in that picture makes you suspect that it would hold a wider range of hook sizes? IMO, there are a number of vises on the market that look more appealing.
the website says
“The vice can be used for tying flies from size 18 to 4”
thats not a wide range of hooks
I like it Gadams…oops i mean cold
To each his own.
Looks like it would be good for small hooks. The jaw tips look quite small allowing more room for manipulating the material. I’d be surprised if it held a 4/0 hook very tightly.

Agreed, dave. The jaws look extremely fine. 4-18 isn’t a big range, as Normand said, but I’d suspect those jaws can do better than 18 on the small end of their range. Wouldn’t surprise me to see this vise handle hooks down in the 26 neighborhood.
Appears to be well made. Seems best suited for smaller flies. The most obvious missing feature is the lack of a lever for hook clamping.
The low luster finish seems very nice. A very clean appearance.
At the current exchange rate it comes out to $267.69. Not sure of the availability of replacment/repair parts from the Czech Republic. Not a bad looking vise.

Nice looking vise and would question the availabilty of get repair parts though. I stick to the fine USA made vises for the time being.
