I’ll second that. Eric never dissapoints. Well done and thanks! Cheers, Alec
Eric,
Way to go! Marrying wings has always been the keystone excuse I’ve used for not tying Atlantic Salmon flies. There are others too but I could always fall-back on this. Now your articles makes it look so doable, I am almost tempted to try.
Congrats on a great article.

I’m out of touch. What article?
Eric, thanks so much for this article. I’m just beginning to try salmon flies and found your article fascinating, encouraging, and really well-written.
Thanks so much everyone. I really wrote the article as much for me as anyone else. A couple of weeks ago I was having fits marrying a set of wings for a fly, and finally wrote Ronn Lucas in desperation. He wrote back with a few cogent suggestions, got me pointed in the right direction, and really started me thinking about fundamentals again. That prompted the article. It’s so easy to make some bad assumptions where marrying is concerned, or take some things for granted. I hope the article can relieve the frustrations that can at times accompany marrying wings. I’ve been there.
