Elkhorn Rod

Can anybody Identify this Elkhorn rod? My guess is it is from a few years ago. Does it look like a legitimate Elkhorn? I am guess it is a traveler from a few years ago.

Thanks,
Mike

why would you think someone would want to conterfeit an Elkhorn rod? New it was around $130 with a reel… if I remember correctly.

Peter

I guess my phrasing was a bit off…I dont’ think it is counterfeit. I am more concerned on what model it is.

email brian@elkhornflyrods.com or info@elkhornflyrods.com

I’m sure they will be helpful.

Jed,
Thanks for the response. Brian was very helpful…I bought the rod on ebay fo $65 including shipping…I am excited. My first “real” fly rod.

Mike

At this point I’ve got 5 of their rods. I hope you like your as much as I like mine.

I have one of their Western Series rod. A 5wt. I can say this, the material and craftsmanship is exceptional and a nice casting rod too. It’s my go to rod carried in my pickup truck. Enjoy your first real fly rod. My first really good rod (to me) was a Phillipson Royal Wand fiberglass. I knew I had arrived and I know the feeling.
