A fellow from Ririe, ID maintains a herd of bucking bulls. He sponsors bullriding at his ring weekly during the spring and early summer.
One of the benefits of fishing the South Fork Sunday afternoon is getting some free entertainment on the way home. Over the course of the afternoon, maybe fifteen or twenty local kids will take a shot at Eight Seconds. Occasionally, one will make it.
But however long the ride, they seem to enjoy it. And there is quite a turnout of family and friends, who do get a bit vocal.
This kid also didn’t make the Eight Seconds.
He was on one of the bigger bulls playing this afternoon. He got chased after taking a hard landing, but got away safely.
This is one of the really enjoyable things about living here in SE Idaho. Local rodeos go on in a lot of places in the West, for sure. Just wanted to share the one from our backyard with you all.
When I worked at the hospital emergency room in Blackfoot ID. I hated to see the pickups pull up to the door on a sunday evening knew it was most likely a bull rider who didnt want to pay for an ambulance.
