Eight Seconds in Ririe ID ( not FF )

The kids are at it again.

Using the “sport” mode on my Canon Rebel Xsi, I ended up with 60 photos, most of which were shot at 3.5 frames per second. The photo above pretty much captures what our local weekly bull riding event is all about.

For more of the action, click on the photo for a brief slideshow.

Most of the other riders didn’t make the full eight seconds. But they did their best.

John

Hey John,
I once tried that at a bar (a few years ago when it was “the thing”) after consuming “vast quantities”. Lasted a nanoscond or two BUT, I’ll be back.

Mark

Great shots John. Nice stop-action. My mis-spent youth was not spent pursuing glory and broken bones, but anybody who can sit on one of those critters for eight seconds and exit gracefully, has my respect, if not my envy.

Marco -

If you want to try the real thing, let me know. I’ll book a room for you at a local motel, and one at the local hospital, also.

There is graceful -

And not so graceful -

There’s being dumped -

And there’s being dumped hard -

Got to give these kids credit just for getting on in the chute !!

John

Thanks for the memories John. That’s how I spent a lot of my youth on the ranch. Fun and exciting times. Then there was the calf and goat roping. Jim
