Is it possible to somehow remove the (POST REPLY) button from the edit page. I can’t tell you how many times I hit that instead of (SAVE).
why not teach yourself to just hit save?? 
scroll the page until SAVE is the only option

I had the same problem. I fixed the problem by positioning a piece of black electrical tape over the Post Reply button.
