The Bluegill are on the beds! I finally got to go meet up with my Dad Sat. morning and hit a small private lake only a few of us have access to. We’ve fished this lake for about 25yrs. and it has steadily produced good fish. I have only been fly fishing it for about 10yrs. It’s hard to even carry a regular casting rod with me now. I have added a few pics of some gills with spawning colors. These are not even close to the Big Boys that are in this lake. There are some giant Redear in it to. Hopefully I can fish it next Sat. when the water has been a steady temp. I should have pics of bigger fish then. Caught these on a gurgle pop and a unique hair baitfish. Enjoy!
