Love, love, love it!!! Eagles DO eat the fish heads … Mom and Pop eagle usually save that delicacy for them selves, and feed the eaglettes the rest of the fish.
Hi Jim,
Cool set of photos! (I catch so few nice size fish, that I would feel a little robbed, but only slightly…it would be just the same as if one of my vary little grandkids took a cookie away from me…you can’t really do anything but laugh and give them a happy hug because you love them so much…no intention to hug an eagle though.)
Betty, I don’t know…it may be like families and the chicken gizzard…some families fight over it and in some families no one wants it. It may be the same thing with eagles and fish heads…personally I will save all the fish heads for the eagles if they want them, but will save the flies for myself.
It may be that the eagle just wants the fly, and only wants one that will catch big fish. This is a little known fact, as Cliff used to say, but very few eagles tie their own flies.
Regards,
Gandolf
Whose limit did that trout count against, the angler’s or the eagles?

Cool pics! Thanks Jim.
