Dyna-King: Great Customer Support

I’ve had my Barracuda vise for over 10 years. After thousands of flies the rotation began to feel a little rough, like it needed a lube job. I called the company. They said to send it to them, they would see what it needed. Then they would call me for credit card info for the charges. I put it in the mail just before Christmas. It arrived yesterday.

They repaired the clamp, re-serrated the jaws, replaced the bearings, replaced the forcing cone and the teflon insert.

My vise feels like new.

No charge. Not even shipping. Now that is customer service!!

And I love this vise.

Sounds to me as if they want to keep customers happy with that kind of service. Seems like too many companies forget the customer immediately after the sale and that is a very sad thing. Great for Dyna-King, enjoy your new again vise, take care, John.

Great report on Dyna-King.

I will add my story on how well the team of Gretchen and Al Beatty support the Danvise that they distribute. When I got my vise the instructional DVD did not work. They replaced it promptly based on my eMail message. Later I had a question about a “Clouser” configuration of the Danvise that I had seem on the web. My e-Mail got a prompt response that explained a simple no cost modification to achieve the effect. Not bad when you consider the cost of converting a standard Rensetti to Clouser mode. Drill a hole ahead of the existing slot.

Though I have never had the problem, I also understand that they do a good job of replacement should someone overtorque (Rensetti) the jaws and break them on a hook. Now, they won’t get rich distributing $85 vises. But maybe they are rich already in a different sense.

I just love companies that stand behind their products like that!

I have a couple Regal vises, one of which is an earlier model that had brittle jaws which chipped. When the lady at Regal told me that I would have to pay to have it repaired, I put both Regal vises in the closet and haven’t used either one since. I will never buy another Regal vise either, no matter how good their product is today.
