Dumb Day to Go
Rick wasn’t always so good in Muddy waters. This article gives insight on what motivates a drive for perfection.
My local creek usually runs about 5 feet deep. There have been times when I’ve gone when it’s at 10 or 11 feet. No luck, can’t get to any good holding spots, but I had to go. I even had to wade thru thigh deep water just to get to the creek.
Oh, and the same outcome as you had.

PS The creek is at about 2.5’ right now, but it’s just to blasted HOT to go out there.
