wooden coffee stirrer
velcro

glue on a strip of velcro to each side of the coffee stirred and voila

I use pretty much the same tool. Sticky back velcro wrapped around a short piece of wood dowel. Works great.

I use a .22 cal cleaning brush, when it clogs up just burn it out with a lighter.

I do the same, have some old 223 cleaning brushes from my army rifle …

I tried the coffee stick with velcro and it doesn’t work as good as the one from Peak, but at $10 you could make a whole lot of homemade ones.
