Dubbed today, finally!!!!!

Took all the advise especially "when you think you got enough 1/2 that then half that again. I found that dubbing without wax went better for me than with wax. Not sure why but it did.

Mike-Conner, thanks for the site. It got me going in the right direction. I did really good using the loop and twist as shown on the site. Now to put this in a fly.

Well done. Now you just need a little practice to achieve whatever you want in dubbed bodies.

Way to go! For a lot of my dubbing I simply wet my finger tips with water. I have one of those small postage sponge that you can pick up at an office supply store. When I use wax I love the stuff from BT’s.

I usually wet my fingers to dub too - but I still use wax for some of my dubbing, as it works well for really coarse dubbing when you use a tiny dab.

and give it a shot w/ dubbin’ loops as well- but, like Jeanne said- dab it…
