Dragonfly nymph

Hi guys, here is one of my favorite dragon fly patterns, works great on trout, bass, panfish and carp hope you like it

I got nothing but a little blue box with a ? in it.

Never mind, I see it now. Very nice!

I really likey…So what’s the recipe??

You ever drop this thing in a bowl of water? Does it turnover with the shell back down due to the dumbell eyes?

Warm, the recipe is simple here it is:

Hook:streamer 4XL
Thread:6/0
Rib: copper wire
Shellback: Stalcups flashback
Abdomen: Ice Dubbing
Thorax: Same as Abdomen
Legs: Krystal flash
Eyes: 2 1/8 " beads joined with 50lb monofilament

Steven, when I have fished t, it doesn’t turn, it rides with the point down.

Simple enough tie. Pretty cool looking fly. I’ll bet it’ll do well.

I was wondering the same thing that Steven did but I’ll take your word on it. Those eyes are pretty lightweight…it just doesn’t take much to flip 'em though. I like it.

I’ve seen some HUGE…HUGE… carp on the prowl on a couple lakes I fish in springtime. Clear water time. I’m piking-it though so I’m not after those brutes. I’d bet they run towards the 25-30# mark fairly easily. THICK fish and sizable too.

Couldn’t imagine wrestling one of those guys from my boat…

Thanks for the fly. I’ll maybe do a few up for fun sometime soon.

Jeremy.
