fishing has continued to be on fire…today I used the Electric Dread to full advantage and went 2 of 3 on bones and 2 for 2 on permit and finally I used my private supply of micro tarpon to seal the deal with 6wt and a shminnow…yes its true, a dbl grand slam and I did it in under 6 hrs total time…this was my birthday present to myself, 3 days of flats fishing with killer tides and great weather…I am spent…waiting for pictures to be sent to me of permit(s) but I did take a couple quick shots to document the great ELECTRIC DREAD knocking them down again…
usually I use a 10wt for permit…luckily these were small…I used 10ft 8wt and 10lb tippet…a 13ft leader…they have incredible power…the bigger permit took full 30 minutes to land…I had sore forearms and sore back the next day…it was a great feeling
