dorber "lil' streamer" rods

Has anyone tried one of the “lil’ streamer” rods sold by Global Dorber, or tried building a short rod with a Brunsell guide system? If so, how do you like it?

Does little and streamer go together?

Yes and no, but you will have to check out Global dorbers website to see how. See them under the sponsors page.

I own both a doRbeR Lil Streamer and an original Brunsell. Keep in mind when considering these rods that they are made with specific conditions in mind and are not what I would choose for general purpose fishing. They are made to cast a level line, and to shoot that line well with very little line outside the tiptop. With practice, you can make one backcast with 10’ of line out and shoot 2 to 3 times that amount on your forward cast. They are for the most part slow action rods, also.

Thanks for the response RG/AR. When you say they were made to cast a level line, how would that differ in action if you were casting a WF or DT line. Shouldn’t the WF shoot farther, and the DT roll cast better than the level? How well do these rods roll cast?

i am thinking of getting one of those rods for a small stream i fish at our club property in the catskills.

do you know what country they are made in.

thanks

Global doRbeR rolls their own blanks in Flippin, AR, near White River. They make an excellent product for the money, and their customer service is the best. I have no affiliation other than being satisfied to the utmost with them.
