Twice today I have gone to the Berkley Hat Auction post and have tried to send a reply that I have recieved some of the items. Everytime I hit the button to submit I get a message that I am not logged in or I do not have access to the page. When I go back to the main BB page I find out I am for some reason not logged in anymore. I am not sure this message will have any better luck at being posted. If it makes it thru , Flybinder and Joe V. I have recieved your packages.
Now you went and dun it. After all those posts it was inevitable that someone would put the evil spell on our thread. Oh, well, at least it was the guy who bellied up to the bar with his cash!
Glad it all made it there in one piece. Have you started on the hermetically sealed chamber for the SPAM?
Joe a couple black suv’s pulled into the drive and several well armed men got out. They asked my name and when I told them they produced a package that had a golden glow to it. When I opened it up you would have thought two bars of pure gold fell out when they seen the Spam. I couldn’t help but think that this is what they were thinking of when they made the movie " National Treasure ". They asked when lunch would be and I told them they would not be getting any of my Spam. I told them I would cook them up some New Yorks on the grill but they just said no and hung their heads low and left. It was much the same reaction I got from the armored car driver who delivered the Berkley Trilene bag from Flybinder.
I have that same problem. It occurs whenever I take more than 10 minutes (an approximation) to hit the reply button. Sometimes I start a reply only to be called away to help my son or daughter. It may be a timeout feature of the bb or it maybe on my end. I now make it a habit to copy my post before clicking the submit button if it has been more that a few minutes that I began my reply. That way I just logon again and paste.
Really, surprised that only “a couple” of black SUVs showed up, carrying the Trilene bag, Rocky?? Are you SURE,there weren’t more of them parked around a nearby corner? You, MUST have heard the thrump-thrump-thrump of the Apaches’s, overhead, too no doubt?
As to your thread “getting bumped”, it happens to me, every time I log in and like T-Fly, if I stay on onepage too long, or “visit around the site” too many places, when I come back to the BB I have to log in again. Same thing, if I write a reply more than a few sentences long!?! Nor, does the “Remember me”, sign in bullet work, as far as “remembering”!?!
I do hope, though, that you didn’t open that SPAM box, Multi-Speed Photdough God, sent you, too close your pooter?! If you did, I’d check ALL your files, ASAP and hopefully you’ll be able to save a few before they’re all erased. There are dangers in SPAM, that far, far, exceed the damage that magnets can do to a hard drive!
Thanks for letting me know that you received the bag!! I hope, that red will match SOME of your outfits and not clash too badly. I just hate that.
Yeah, the delivery boyz were pretty bummed out when you sent them packin w/o a SPAM lunch. I told them to pack their own, but it’s obvious they opted to take the chance.
I don’t know if I have ever been knocked offline on FAOL or any other forum. Of course, I’m running nothing but Macs, and they pay attention when you tell them to remember something. Sit…Stay…Good Mac!:p:p:p Too bad MS has such a short attention span.
Paul there were a couple fighter jets flying over about the same time. I never gave them much thought until now.
My problem seems to be the same as what you and TyroneFly have. And I thought it was just me. If I try to reply with more than a few lines I get kicked off the site and have to log back in. And the " Remember Me " has never worked for me either.
A quick work around.
If you think you might have typed and thought for too long on a post, open a new tab or window, log in, then switch back to the typed message and hit send. I found this right after the switchover when the time-out was REALLY short.
