Does the site log you off to quickly?

It’s probably me. Sometimes I sign on, go get a cup of coffee and come back and then I’m logged off. :expressionless: I’m exaggerating, maybe a little. Is there a way to change a setting to not log me off so quickly?

Oh, NO. I made a grammatical error and can’t change the title. The word “to” is suppose to be “too”. Please forgive me, I have yet again failed. :oops:

I don’t have a problem with that or have not noticed it.

I also have never had any problems with being logged off until I want to leave.

Maybe some setting on the computer could do that or a firewall? or anti-virus system?

I do get pop ups from my anti-virus system, sometimes when I enter FAOL but also other sites but my system grabs the unwanted stuff and dumps it without removing me from the site I am on.

Just as I thought, it is probably something on my end. Just wish that I knew which setting I need to change to make it happen that I wouldn’t log off so easily. Anyone have any ideas on where to start?

Some time ago, when I regularly posted, I experienced the same problem.

I don’t recall if some one pointed out the solution that worked for me, or if I just happened across it on my own.

It may not work for you, but what did work for me was checking the “remember me” box located under the user name and password every time I logged in.

Thanks for the tips John. I come and go from not only this board and others that I visit. I haven’t been very active over the last couple of years. Life gets in the way of our best laid plans sometimes.
