I’ve been getting some time at the vise this week so I tought I’d tie up some more bass flies for next spring. I tie these diving sliders up for late spring and summer bass. With the Fly Lips, they dive about 5"- 6" below the surface on the retrieve and the articulated hook connection allows it to give outstanding action in the water. On the pause, it slowly rises to the top of the water. In the completed example (bottom), I actually used double Frog hooks with the points in the position so I can fish it over very shallow weed beds along the lake shores. I include the pictures at the top to show the construction of this pattern.
