I got a long cylindrical package but it wasn’t cover in red and black plaid. The interior looked something like this.
Got my two sons the CGRs in a 5/ 6 wt since they liked the 4 wt model so much.
Nice! I got two fly rods. One an TFO 9ft 6wt with fighting butt. And I have wanted, and finally got, an Orvis TLS Power Matrix 6wt Saltwater rod. This is an old rod but I haven’t shut up about getting one of these since they were first out.
Forgot to mention, I picked up a Diamondback, diamondglass 7’ for 3 wt. that my wife said was a christmas present. I had one a number of years ago and one of the few rods that I regretted selling. Saw this one for a good price and picked it up. Cant wait to find a day to try it out on a blue line.
