My Simms boots are difficult for me to get on and to tie. Are there any diabetic wading boots for us old guys?
Should I just switch back to boot foot waders?
Thanks
Just a thought have you looked at any of the boa type boots?
I’ve had to forgo most of my serious trout stream wading and settle for close to the banks with hip boots. Presently I use the boot footed hips with felt soles. All of this has come about because of foot problems (and a loss of endurance against the current!). I have seen some hip waders that I thought I’d like to try but so far I’ve not seen any of those in a boot foot.
My other retreat from chest wading has been the canoe. Of course, that means casting from the setting position, which I do sort of respectable!
Korkers makes a rear-entry boot called the “hatchback “. Here is a review from Hatches magazine: https://www.hatchmag.com/articles/review-korkers-rear-entry-hatchback-wading-boot/7714369
Hope this helps,
Ted
Thank you.
