Definitions Please...

I have an itch…
I want to try to make a crossword puzzle page.
It would put up a puzzle and let you solve it.

Unfortunately…
I know NOTHING about fly fishing. Nope… Worm drowner through and through.
And to pull this off, I would need hundreds of words and definitions.
Not just straight out definitions either, but also clues…
Like: JC does it differently by using BOTH hands. (Doublehaul)
So you see, i need a clue or definition and the word (spelled correctly)

IF I get enough people and submissions that are willing to give me content,

I’ll make this happen. Please vote above with a YES if you have some submissions for me. I will post an email address for this IF I get enough people willing to help here. (DONT POST THEM… as the answers should not be posted… )

(DONT POST THEM… as the answers should not be posted… )

Don’t post them!!!
as the answers should not be posted

I got a few for ya

These are some obvious ones, to start you off:
1.) Can be used for padding, sealent, and fly material - foam
2.) Highland mammal fur, good for caddis - elk hair
3.) Similar to mustard - Mustad

Duley noted, I am going to win the puzzle grand prize if this keeps up :stuck_out_tongue:

I love crossword puzzles. I may be on the strange side but I find them relaxing. You do not have to look any further than this site. You have Tying Tips, Entomolgy, Archives,
Tying Terms, just to name a few. There is enough information on this site to construct 1000’s of puzzles. This is one of if not the best informative site there is. We have all we ever need to know right here. Looking forward to your puzzle.

Fly fishing site technical administrator who fishes worms … def: clueless

I have others .

Mark

Why not just go to “Flyfishing Basics” on the home page, then click on “Fly Tying Terms”

Pan, I certainly hope it’s a lot more challenging then that.

Ah, but simple stuff like that will be able to be solved with simple searching of the site.
What fun is that…
Cryptic clues… and YES I’m clueless…
It’s safer that way… NO ONE wants to see me flipping a hook to and fro within reach of a living entity… LOOK MA, I caught me a ELM tree with my 1000.00 worth of gear.

Hell, I can’t even skip. YOU WANT ME to cast? You guys are nuts…

Rtidd,
“$1000 worth of gear” ??? You would be referring to my car??

Mark

Rtidd,

That skipping comment causes concern also. One or two skip steps to get back in step with the remainder of the unit is permissible, more than that by a grown man causes questions and strange looks.

download a puzzle grid (ie: http://puzzles.about.com/library/grids/qez151.htm)
