Deer Rescue (not ff)

Here are a series of images that seem to show a Deer rescue;http://www.katu.com/features/fishtales/15820082.html
Does anyone know where these photos were taken? South? East?
Thanks,
Doug

Doug,

It’s real. Took place 07 or 06 (dont remember exactly) off the coast of North Carolina. Was written up on another fishing board that I read all the time. Went into the board to find out for sure but the search didnt help me any. Couldnt find it again. If I remember correctly it was near Ocracoke/Hatteras or Portsmouth Is.

George

George,
Thanks! Do you know any other info about the story?
Doug

I will post a message on that board and see if someone can get me back to the thread. Will get back to you with it as soon as I can get it.

it was actually in the chesapeake bay

Thanks mdram.
I stand corrected on the location. The original post that I read some time ago gave me the impression that it was off of the Outer Banks. Regardless of where it was, I’m sure the deer was happy that it didnt have to swim any further.

I believe that without assistance, this deer was destined to get a Darwin Award for taking his or her genes out of the genetic pool. 8T

Deer happen to be very good swimmers. When I kept a boat in Montauk, LI, we used to see deer swimming to Block Island…that’s a distance of 13 miles. Don’t know where the deer in the Chesepeake could have been going

if it was smart it was leaving the baltimore/dc area for the eastern shore
everyone knows there is no reason to live on the wrong side of the bay

ok maybe im biased, just a little
