Spotting white wings in tree-lined pocketwater tunnels has become problematic so I switched to something a bit more visible. Using furniture markers on the orange foam has given me some ideas for the big bug hatch.
hook - WFC Model 11 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 orange
core - 8lb mono
tail - moose body hair bleached
body/head - 1mm foam orange colored with furniture marker pen (oak, I think)
wing - Parapost yarn (hot orange)
hackle - grizzly dyed march brown
