Going to be in daytona this week and next visiting some family and thought that I might could sneak off and fish some. Any body have any suggestions for the area as to where to fish besides the surf? Is the intercostal waterway an option? Thanks in advance.

Oooops! Didn’t see the post until just now. I’m 45 minutes southwest of Daytona. I don’t fish up there, but just south of Daytona another 45 minutes is the Mosquito Lagoon…that’s my territory. Can you access your email from Daytona? If not, how can I reach you, and maybe we can hook up in Titusville. Trout and reds are kickin’ butt. Let me know…
Met up with phishfool_98 Monday morning in Titusville. The weather finally cooperated and I re-introduced him to The River. He spent part of his youth in Titusville. Both of us threw the golden bendback, but sorry to say I was the only one catching fish. Three “dink” and I do mean dink trout, two decent trout and one hawg 27" or so. But we shared conversation and a few laughs…had a great time on the flats. Very nice guy. Once again, the folks one meets through FAOL has proven that flyfishers are fine folks!
Thanks FlatsDude for a great time on the flats Memorial Day. Got back this weekend from our trip and am trying really hard to remember everybody I’m kin to in Titusville and the area so I can go and “visit”. You better believe I’ll bring a flyrod. Thanks again. If you are ever in North Alabama give me a ring, we’ll go after some smallies.
