REE’s post about his new puppy got me thinking. Yeah, I know, sometimes not the best thing for me to be doing. Anyway, lets see your dogs. Here are my two. The big one in front is Kuma. He is a full blooded Newfounland weighing in at approx. 180 pounds, loves water and is a terrible fishing dog but we still love him. The one in the back is Sophie. She is a Border Collie mix. Not sure what her other half is. She only weighs about 50 pounds, hates the water and is a great companion on fishing trips.
Kerry,
We can not have a dog where we live now. I really miss our pooch, a labradoodle named Patches, so I will just sit here and enjoy the pictures of your beautiful dogs.
Thanks for the wonderful photos. They brought back some really great memories!
Kerry, here is our two. Spoiled rotten, Too! PT and Tilly Boston Terriers.
Hmmmm, synchronized nose licking? Isn’t that a really new Olympic sport? Great picture rons81!
Kerry,
A newfie that loves water? Who woulda thunk it, just because they rescued people from the frigid waters around Newfoundland. When we were at the Idaho Fish-In there was a guy who visited the cafe almost every morning that had a striped Newfie. Looked like someone took a painbrush and slathered white stripes on a black dog.
Even though the picture is on another thread, here’s a shot of our Ghillie (English Springer Spaniel) at nine weeks old (that was two days ago).
Here is Filson, also known as “Frog Dog” for how he likes to lay out when he’s sleepy.
And here is a fly I call the “Frog Hair Clouser.” She who must be obeyed was not amused:
Ron,
I did not know you had Boston Terriers! The next time you are down my way to fish the Elk, stop by the house and let me introduce you to Maggie McCoy! She is our landlord and the rent is pretty steep but worth it.
We have four Shetland Sheepdogs, all of them rescued from Pet Adoption League nd Animal Rescue Foundation.Ths is our star dog, Aleta’s “Watch Russell Hustle” aka Rusty.IMG]http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a248/stevec53/rusty.jpg[/IMG] Rusty was found abandoned in an apartment with a poodle, and had obviously been physically abused. he now has ovee 40 agility titles, and his picture was picked to be on a calendar next year. Here are rest of our “kids” Harry ,Trixie, and, Sierra.
Steve
Not a “fishing buddy”, but here’s my old Cocoa, almost 15 now & cancer stricken. believe it or not, this pic is maybe 2 months ago. She is the gentlest shepherd/chow mix you’ll ever see, & 5 of our Grandkids 1st words were either dog or Coke…what greater compliment could a pet receive!
BTW all…BEAUTIFUL animals, but I also have a real soft spot for my girlfriend, Warren’s Maggie McCoy!
Mike
While all y’all’s are VERY cute, mine have served me since 43’. In fact they’ve taken me to some very nice places such as this on CA Hwy 1.
The ONLY “Dawgs” I’ve ever owned.
Mark
PS: But THIS pup stole my heart and attention at the 2006 MIFI. It’s Drew’s ( ZimRX’s) CHEWEY
My Fishing buddies…
The Terrible Butterfly who would strike terror in the hearts of birds everywhere if she was hunting with someone who could shoot.
