Daughter caught her first tiger trout today

Anna and I fished Bugger Gut today.

You should have seen how nervous she was when she realized it was a tiger.

I had her place the net between her knees and hold the tiger directly above the

net opening for the photo. I told her to NOT squeeze the rare trout or it would die.

I explained to her if the tiger flopped out of her hands it would land in the net.

Camera out and getting focused…Anna lifted the tiger out of the net it struggled and

it got out of her hands.

IT DID NOT FLOP IN TO THE NET.

She has heard me talking about tigers for years and at presentations.

She was really bummed when she dropped it and it looked like she wanted to crying.

I quickly blurted out “crying is not allowed during fishing.”

I bragged her up all the way to the car and when we told MOM… Anna was as proud

as a peacock.

It was her first tiger ever and she learned a valuable lesson. She is only 14.

I know many people that have never caught a tiger and are 60 years old.

Well I know one thing, she has me beat. 34 years old and no Tigers.

Great memories even if the picture didn’t happen, she will cherish that one for a long time.

Len, knowing you and the waters you fish, this won’t be her last Tiger. Thanks for the report.
