Does Darlon float well enough to use as spinner wings or parachute posts? I did a search and didn’t find much. It seems to be much easier to use for spinner wings because it’s a little more straight.

Not sure about Darlon, supposedly antron isn’t the best material to use for those applications. I use Congo Hair (EP Fiber sub); seems to shed water pretty well.

I’m tying some #22 parachutes right now and it works pretty well; it’s the only thing I use for spinner wings any more. Hope you find it to your liking.

A lot of people use organza fibers for the spent wings. Go to Joan’s fabrics. Tell them you are a fly fisherman and want some organza. They will know right away what you want and they will probably point out several other products that fly fishermen buy at the store.
Never thought of that. I didn’t know what of what organza was made. I do buy some tying materials at JoAnn’s Fabric.

Organza is a material used for wedding veils. You have to pull the fibers apart but that is easy enough to do because of the loose weave.
