DanCraft Rod blanks

My son lost the tip from his newly built 4 piece 6wt yesterday under fairly unusual circumstances. Dan was more than helpful and is replacing the tip section without cost. Before Riley lost the tip I was watching him cast and very impressed with his line control and accuracy. At 14 his accuracy is something to watch… even if he had more years of casting than just breathing!

Anyway, the rod and way they stand behind it is impressive…

I have built several rods using Dan Craft’s Blanks. I had a problem with a rod tip and got the same service that you did. He is good to deal with.

Odd, how many rod tips do get ‘lost’ during casting. Eventually they learn that, even tho they have never had a problem in (X) years, that it really is a ‘good idea to put some paraffin’ on the rod sections. It keeps them together and keeps them from locking up as well.

Yeah - I learned about that “locking up” thing the hard way, on my favorite 3 wt.

I’ve always liked the Dan Craft rods. I’m still trying to talk myself into building a Sig V 5 or 6 weight. I have the old style Sig V 3/4 wt and it is an absolute joy to cast, even for a casting hack like me.
