What a beautiful place!! I can’t believe I live so close and never checked it out before. Huge bucks in velvet, must have seen twenty over the weekend. However, sorry to say I won’t be fishing there soon. Not much water to fish besides man-made beaver ponds. When I go fishing, I want to FISH. Not walk four miles to fish three ponds. Maybe I’m spoiled by Spearfish Creek?

Don’t ask the Dakota Anger guide about it…he warned me before I went out. But lots of great pictures!

Are you serious? We’re supposed to leave Tuesday for three weeks in the Black Hills. We’d heard that the water levels were good. Were you up in Little Spearfish Canyon? Or over below and above Deerfield?

We stayed at Center Lake campground, right above the Grace coolidge walkin area. I had never been there before, so I didn’t know what to expect. The water levels are fine everywhere else, but that walk in area is for the birds, not for a fisherman
