Crystal Flash

I use a fair bit of crystal flash in many of my warmwater patters, bit top water and sub-surface. While I usually try to by from local/U.S. based vendors, sometimes I have to go outside the U.S. to get what I’m looking for. I got all this Crystal Flash material from Temu for $10 with free shipping. There is more material in each clump than I usually find and there are some cool new colors as well. To store my crystal flash type materials, I use 5/8" ID clear plastic tubing. I slit one side of the tube and cut a notch near the end to accomodate the zip tie I use to cinch the material together. THis keeps the material stored neatly and allows me to put it all in a drawer sorted by color type. Just thought I’d share this with other tyers who have too much material;)

Cool idea for storage.

That picture is a little small, do you have a larger one, or one that shows the detail on the tubing and cut a little better?

Here’s a close-up photo of the tube. I’ve been using this storage method for my Crystal Flash type materials for about 20 years. I find that it’s easier and cheaper to buy the tube from Amazon than the local big box stores.

Thank you! I like that a lot.

It’ll work for any flash.
