Steve, I’ve been doing this for a while but the term"cripple" has me a bit confused. Could you give a brief definition? kev

Hey Steve!

Sign me up for a “Crippled CDC & Elk”

Al Corey

A Cripple is an emerging insect that get stuck in its casing on the way out. The basic cripple fly is half dry fly, half nymph. It sits on the water as a dry fly, but its abdomen is submerged.

The Quigley Cripple is a example pattern.

Steve

I’m in for that.
thanks
Roy

Count me in. I will tie a royal coachman cripple.

Steve, Sounds interesting. You can count me in but there will be a couple more questions. kev

I’d like to join this. Please put me down for a “Quigley’s Mayfly Cripple”. I tied a set of these for the “Quill” swap and IMHO they came out real nice.
Thanks
Jim
