I was driving home from the grocery store, about 1:30 am, and I saw a Coyote strolling across the road, very close to where I live. This is the first time I have seen a Coyote, in the city limits.

Just joking, Doug. You are probably right about this being the cause of the reduction of the ferrule cat population in your area.
We were on S. Padre Island Tx. this winter. On our 3rd floor balcony I would set most mornings in the pre dawn drinking coffee. Several times I would see a large coyote in the street or parking lot across from us. He/she was a biggun, as big as a med sized dog but thin framed. One morning I saw two, they looked identical.
The only way to get on the island is via a 3 mile long causeway or swim. I assume they were descendants of a very old population on the island.
