Cortland "Brook Series" Rods

Anyone have any experience/opinions on these rods? Thanks.

I lawn cast a 4 wt 8 1/2 foot at the fly shop last summer. I was very impressed. Nice quick action and not too stiff. Out to about 35 feet it felt very crisp. Beyond that I began to have to work at it a little more, but considering that the Brook is their ‘small stream’ rod, I’d say it will do the job very well if that’s what you’re intending to use it for.

Last year I purchased and fished the 8’6" 4wt Brook and love it. Paired with a Lamson Radius 1.5 it has become my favorite for fishing the small streams of western Wisconsin. I put a Cortland Sylk line on it and found that it’s a nice, easy casting rod that delivers the fly well. Give one a try and I think you’ll be pleased.
