Cornwall?s Orange Nymph (SBS)

A Pheasant Tail tied with GP tippet instead. Ted here unweighted (cuz I can’t find the spool of .025 non-tox I just bought); beadhead or wraps of non-tox under the thorax optional.

hook - Mustad 9671 #10
thread - UTC 70 burnt orange
tail - golden pheasant tippet
rib - small oval tinsel gold
abdomen - dubbing orange
thorax - ostrich black
wingcase/legs - golden pheasant tippet

Part 1

Mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark; wrap to bend

Measure (gap width past bend) some gp tippets; tie in/trim

Tie in rib

Dub thread/dub abdomen

Measure (1/2 shank) gp tippets; tie in at eye, leaving butts long for wingcase

Part 2

Tie in some ostrich herl by the tips at 2/3 mark, twist into a rope and wrap thorax; tie off/trim

Pull gp butts forward to form wingcase; trim

Split legs evenly

Pull legs back on each side, tie off; whip finish, SHHAN
