I presume others have come up with this pattern, but I have not seen it myself. It is a comparadun with the middle cut out of the wing (leaving the outriggers) and a zelon wing replacing it. I think it might have more of a mayfly sillouhette.
I haven’t seen a fly like this, but I think you might be on to something. I like the more natural looking triangular, over the body wing profile and it’s still a low floating, body in the film fly design. There are a couple of flies I use regularly that offer somewhat similar characteristics and are part my regular mayfly arsenal. The first is Harrop’s Hairwing Dun and the other is Ross Mueller’s Fuzzball.
Second, you’ve kind of recreated the Iwamasa Dun - something I’ve been playing with lately.
Short deer hair is tied in a la the Comparadun. Then split into two halves with figure-8 wraps to split the deer hair in to outrigger-like legs. Then, just in front of the deer hair legs and right behind the eye, a single burned wing is tied in.
