color of trailing shuck

How significant is the color of the trailing shuck on emergers/cripples. For my caddis emergers, I always use tan. For my bwo emergers I have used olive but wonder if more of a dun color would be better. Any thoughts?

If you look at the real thing you will find out that most of the trailing shucks are brown in color. I have used olive and it works but I use brown most of the time on my emegers and other flies. Ron

Now how many of us knew that?

Just another example why I sit back here and think that RonMT with all his experience could [should] write a book…so many tidbits…hints…suggestions…obviously based on experience …
