WOW! Very nice Scott.
Dennis
Excuse my ignorance, but what is a coffin fly imitating?
Jesse,
A Coffin Fly is an eastern green drake spinner. Here’s a link to some nice pics, if you’re interested.

Scott
Thanks Scott, I don’t recall ever seeing a white insect, but I am a youngster of only 75.
Uncle Jesse. If you are into night fishing the white miller (a large white caddis) is found throughout North America. If you are on a river late (often after midnight) in the summertime You will see them. Here in the Midwest we also have white mayflies (ephoron) which can be a very heavy hatch at or just after dark in the late summer/early autumn.
I appreciate the information, never night fished much, main thing I remember was bass fishing on a private lake during a full moon and a cottonmouth that wanted to visit us. The only place I ever saw the aftermath of a hatch was up on the TN River around the Muscle Shoals area. The mayflies hatch about once a year as I understand it. Locally they are called Willow Flies, but they look a lot like most of the mayflies I have seen photos of here and other places.
