hook - Mustad 79580 #6
thread - MFC 6/0 hot orange
rib - small wire gold
tail - golden pheasant tippet dyed hot orange
body - tinsel gold
sub collar - dubbing hot orange
collar - woodduck flank
overwing - Mirage Flash opal

Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

prep gp tippet; measure (gap width past bend), tie in/trim, finish thread at front

tie in tinsel; wrap to bend and back, tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

Part 2

dub thread/dub collar; rough it up a bit

prep woodduck; tie in by tip, wrap, tie off/trim

tie in flash

fold back, cover with thread, whip finish, SHHAN, trim flash (this one turned out a bit unruly but the fibers should sweep back when wet)
