this is a reminder to start looking for christmas tinsel. i was at wally world over the weekend and they had tinsel in a wide variety of colors. they were like a buck thirty seven for a large amount. i only got the pearl color, but i will surely get more. how do you store it? do you use a tie rap like some tinsels are when you buy them at a fly shop?

The stuff I buy comes in a big plastic bag. I just leave it in the bag. I punch a small hole at one end to draw out what I need. If you can wait until the week after Christmas it will be even cheaper.

I have this stuff in several colors. The pearl gets the most use, but the starfire silver, the holo gold, and the dark blue are also winners.
What I have came attached to a card, from which it was hung on the store display. I stuck a nail in the wall, and hang it there.
Great stuff, and amazingly durable in use. I use some on a pike pattern that gets chewed on a bit, and the tinsel holds up better than the bucktail.

what i got came on a card, tied some streamers with it and it worked great. i must have more.

the local dollar store should have it also and for only a dollar.
Usually if you wait until after Christmas it’s even cheaper. Got all I’ll ever need last year at K mart for $.10 a bundle. Better to wait!
